In the 14th minute, Fridtjof Østby left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Porto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, PUBlovers's Philip Hindenes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jøran Brænd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ragnar Sætran's late challenge caught a Porto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jøran Brænd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Hindenes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jøran Brænd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Holstad in the 26th minute of the match. 1-2 became the score in the 30th minute when Oliver Holstad elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in PUBlovers's zone, Fridtjof Østby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tor-Andre Liseth came out of the goal and Fridtjof Østby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oliver Holstad took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jøran Brænd. Jøran Brænd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Fridtjof Østby kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Oliver Holstad managed to get in a good position for a shot. PUBlovers's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Holstad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jøran Brænd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even Torgersen kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Glenn Leidland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oliver Holstad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christoffer Grønlien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor-Andre Liseth having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Philip Hindenes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
