In the 5th match minute, PUBlovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars-Olav Østenstad to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, PUBlovers's goalkeeper Tor-Andre Liseth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Jensrud. Erik Eiken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Hindenes in the 11th minute of play. In the 16th minute Philip Hindenes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Eiken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Oliver Holstad came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the PUBlovers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Holstad couldn't finish the play. Storhamar Fotball's Erik Eiken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Holstad in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, PUBlovers's Gunnar Hjorth got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Storhamar Fotball's Eilert Solsvik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tor-Andre Liseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lars-Olav Østenstad kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. PUBlovers's Tor-Andre Liseth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save PUBlovers from getting a goal against them. Tor-Andre Liseth made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Eilert Solsvik sent off a good shot on target. PUBlovers were furious when Emanuel Willumsen was red carded, 36 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. PUBlovers:s Tor-Andre Liseth showed great skill when he stopped Edvin Nybråten:s penalty. If Philip Hindenes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Philip Hindenes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Glenn Leidland took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erik Eiken. Erik Eiken dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Tor-Andre Liseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eilert Solsvik in the 57th minute of play. When Philip Hindenes came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the PUBlovers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Hindenes couldn't finish the play. If Glenn Leidland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 minutes of play, PUBlovers's Philip Hindenes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erik Eiken was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Erik Eiken managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when PUBlovers's Philip Hindenes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Storhamar Fotball booed when PUBlovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Olav Østenstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PUBlovers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
