Steffen Gjermundsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Preben Olufsen having to interfere. Viva La Vestby's Bastian Hildrum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morten Løyning in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Viva La Vestby's Fredrik Bjune got a free kick in the 27th minute. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Morten Løyning put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bastian Hildrum. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Halvard Sletten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viva La Vestby's supporters rose to their feet, but Halvard Sletten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Preben Olufsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abraham Liseth hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Viva La Vestby booed when FortySix&2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Moen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Viva La Vestby's goalkeeper Bastian Hildrum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Fauske. Carl Fauske could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Bastian Hildrum made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steffen Gjermundsen in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Preben Olufsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 70 minutes, Morten Løyning managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FortySix&2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morten Løyning was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Viva La Vestby's zone, Carl Fauske stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bastian Hildrum came out of the goal and Carl Fauske tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steffen Gjermundsen in the 79th minute of play forced FortySix&2's goalkeeper Preben Olufsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes FortySix&2 got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Ingvaldsen. After a rather tough play, Viva La Vestby's Fredrik Bjune got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Morten Løyning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Fauske sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FortySix&2 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
