A collision led to Storhamar Fotball getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Øyvind Espe hit a great ball. Erik Eiken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morten Løyning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 played minutes Storhamar Fotball got a freekick which was hit by Aksel Grønvik. In the 9th minute Carl Fauske shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Eiken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carl Fauske fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Eiken having to interfere. After 12 minutes, Frode Alm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FortySix&2 and the Storhamar Fotball players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, FortySix&2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frode Alm to maneuver through the defense. Eilert Solsvik in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Preben Olufsen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 14th minute, Sebastian Dragland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carl Fauske fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Eiken having to interfere. Eilert Solsvik came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Preben Olufsen could save by the left post. Eilif Sagbakken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Eilif Sagbakken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Storhamar Fotball's supporters rose to their feet, but Eilif Sagbakken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Preben Olufsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eilert Solsvik's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Preben Olufsen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eilert Solsvik got free with Preben Olufsen in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivar Sandstad hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eilert Solsvik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Storhamar Fotball's Eilert Solsvik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Preben Olufsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Carl Fauske recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Storhamar Fotball's zone, Morten Løyning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Eiken came out of the goal and Morten Løyning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Preben Olufsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eilert Solsvik's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Morten Løyning reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erik Eiken. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 75th minute, Aleksander Moen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 80 minutes, Eilert Solsvik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storhamar Fotball's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eilert Solsvik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eilert Solsvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Preben Olufsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eilert Solsvik went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 90 minutes into the match, FortySix&2's goal looked a bit too open when Eilert Solsvik came free, but Preben Olufsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eilert Solsvik in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Preben Olufsen saved FortySix&2 from getting behind. Frode Alm got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Storhamar Fotball fully deserved thier win.
