He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Viva La Vestby reached it. Filip Vaksdal was shown his second yellow card after 16 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Honningsvåg in the 22nd minute of play forced Viva La Vestby's goalkeeper Bastian Hildrum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent Wahlstrøm made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Halvard Sletten sent off a good shot on target. If Steffen Gjermundsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Steffen Gjermundsen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kent Wahlstrøm. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Bastian Hildrum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Honningsvåg, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Jan Honningsvåg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steffen Gjermundsen to make the kick off. Joakim Reiten kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Steffen Gjermundsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Wahlstrøm having to interfere. If Steffen Gjermundsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. Kent Wahlstrøm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen Gjermundsen in the 65th minute of the match. Steffen Gjermundsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viva La Vestby's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
