The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Skogsfjord getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Skogsfjord's Gard Wold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Lægreid in the 17th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Kilen's Gard Wold threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fredrik Lægreid, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gard Wold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Lægreid in the 21st minute of play. Gard Wold made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kasper Fuglerud in the 24th minute. Atle Skistad kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Skogsfjord's Christoffer Wessel got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Skogsfjord was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoffer Wessel to maneuver through the defense. Kasper Fuglerud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
