The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Kvisgaard booed when Selvaag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Winger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tim Wolden acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bjarne Elstad. After 37 minutes of play, Selvaag's Halvard Ursin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jakob Klette was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brage Røhne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brage Røhne to make the kick off. Jakob Klette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brage Røhne in the 60th minute of play. Kjetil Hamborg's late challenge caught a Selvaag's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kjetil Hamborg helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kvisgaard's Kjetil Hamborg got a free kick in the 61st minute. When Erik Winger was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. In the 68th minute, Halvard Ursin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tim Wolden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Holmefjord, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Martin Holmefjord hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Jakob Klette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Halvard Ursin in the 75th minute. Tim Wolden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Holmefjord, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Kvisgaard's Jakob Klette got control of the ball when Halvard Ursin tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Holmefjord in the 90th minute of play forced Selvaag's goalkeeper Tim Wolden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Holmefjord fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Wolden having to interfere. In the 96th minute Martin Holmefjord shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wolden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Selvaag left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kvisgaard.
