The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Halvdan Berg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Stordal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raymond Stordal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aksel Holmefjord's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Halvdan Berg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raymond Stordal. Fredrikstad FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Halvdan Berg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Raymond Stordal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halvdan Berg in the 10th minute of play. Mons Nistad came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Fredrikstad FK's William Bekkevold. But to his dismay, William Bekkevold quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 15 minutes into the game, Ole-Jostein Poulsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kraakmoen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fredrikstad FK the free kick. After 31 minutes, Benjamin Gaarder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kraakmoen and the Fredrikstad FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36th play minutes William Bekkevold shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Mons Nistad and just under the crossbar into goal. Fredrikstad FK's Raymond Stordal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aksel Holmefjord in the 42nd minute of play. Aksel Holmefjord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Halvdan Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Bekkevold made a kick off. Aksel Holmefjord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raymond Stordal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halvdan Berg in the 55th minute of the match. Raymond Stordal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Halvdan Berg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 74 minute of play. In the 80th minute William Bekkevold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mons Nistad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Halvdan Berg in the 96th minute of play forced Fredrikstad FK's goalkeeper Raymond Stordal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
