Kim Aksdal kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Roger Rogstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kenneth Justad charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kenneth Justad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Såta's Kenneth Justad got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes, Sivert Wennevold mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lokomotiv Såta and the Tromsdalen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Lokomotiv Såta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Wennevold to maneuver through the defense. Roger Rogstad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Jim Slyngstad skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 20 minutes into the match, Dan Stormo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tromsdalen's Jan-Frode Aukland. Jan-Frode Aukland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 29 minutes, Roger Rogstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tromsdalen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Rogstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Espen Reite managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tromsdalen's supporters rose to their feet, but Espen Reite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Slyngstad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simen Walle was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lokomotiv Såta getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Simen Walle hit a great ball. Andreas Reiten was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half Lokomotiv Såta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dan Stormo was the one to do the kick off. Jan-Frode Aukland made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Sivert Wennevold sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Lokomotiv Såta's zone, Roger Rogstad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jim Slyngstad came out of the goal and Roger Rogstad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dan Stormo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Kim Aksdal fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tromsdalen's protests and gave Kim Aksdal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Kim Aksdal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joachim Høydahl struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Jim Slyngstad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tromsdalen. Jim Slyngstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vetle Stensby in the 69th minute of the match. Lokomotiv Såta's Jim Slyngstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vetle Stensby in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Lokomotiv Såta booed when Tromsdalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Espen Reite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vetle Stensby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jim Slyngstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Rogstad in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jim Slyngstad saved Lokomotiv Såta from getting behind. Espen Reite kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Martin Ørbeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johannes Asphaug hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Lokomotiv Såta were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Tromsdalen's much stronger midfield.
