Jan-Frode Aukland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severin Hussein, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Kjetil Hellevik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Frode Aukland having to interfere. Jan-Frode Aukland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf-Inge Hol in the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Alf-Inge Hol made a precise shot to the right of Jan-Frode Aukland. Tromsdalen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Roger Rogstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Andreas Berglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Frode Aukland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjetil Hellevik in the 25th minute of play. Tromsdalen's Jan-Frode Aukland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf-Inge Hol in the 26th minute of play. Martin Benjaminsen kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Alf-Inge Hol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 played minutes Tromsdalen got a freekick which was hit by Roger Rogstad. After 35 minutes of play, Gædd FK's Severin Hussein made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Frode Aukland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jan-Frode Aukland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severin Hussein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Kjetil Hellevik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gædd FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kjetil Hellevik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Frode Aukland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Tromsdalen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alf-Inge Hol fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 69th play minutes Severin Hussein shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Jan-Frode Aukland and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Severin Hussein's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Frode Aukland was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Espen Reite's late challenge caught a Gædd FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Espen Reite helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gædd FK booed when Tromsdalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Espen Reite didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes, Roger Rogstad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tromsdalen and the Gædd FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roger Rogstad kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Severin Hussein ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan-Frode Aukland was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. When the final whistle sounded Gædd FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tromsdalen.
