In the 12th minute Ask Nesbø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Idsø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilhelm Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Raagrend FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Værøy IL the free kick. After 14 played minutes Raagrend FK got a freekick which was hit by Petter Oksnes. In the 17th minute, Petter Oksnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pål Idsø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ask Nesbø, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A hard shot by Erik Husa from long distance, 21 minutes into the match, got Sture Mikaelsen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 21 played minutes Værøy IL got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Østensen. Wilhelm Nilsson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Iver Larsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pål Idsø didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ask Nesbø went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ask Nesbø in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pål Idsø saved Raagrend FK from getting behind. The supporters of Raagrend FK booed when Værøy IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theodor Langaas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christoffer Skretting charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee ignored Raagrend FK's protests and gave Josef Landsem a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Raagrend FK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Josef Landsem hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Værøy IL's Ask Nesbø slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pål Idsø. That made the score 0-2 after 60 minutes of play. Helge Melheim hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Erik Husa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sture Mikaelsen. Værøy IL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 67th minute Ask Nesbø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Idsø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Værøy IL's Ask Nesbø ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pål Idsø. Pål Idsø yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 89 minutes into the game, Øivind Alvær was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raagrend FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Værøy IL the free kick. Vidar Eek's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Pål Idsø skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Helge Melheim kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Værøy IL's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
