Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ask Nesbø made the kick off which started today's match. Vidar Eek scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bjarne Lindstrøm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 8 minutes of play, Storsæter BK's Steinar Bergset made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sture Mikaelsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After recieving a nice pass, Værøy IL's Andreas Helset tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Andreas Helset hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Værøy IL defense, Steinar Bergset kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sture Mikaelsen. The Værøy IL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sture Mikaelsen should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, Eirik Alnes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Storsæter BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Bjarne Lindstrøm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ask Nesbø, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Storsæter BK's Bjarne Lindstrøm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidar Eek in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute Iver Larsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjarne Lindstrøm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes, Kai Thorgersen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Storsæter BK and the Værøy IL players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Storsæter BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kai Thorgersen to maneuver through the defense. Bjarne Lindstrøm was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Andreas Helset. When Eirik Alnes came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Storsæter BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eirik Alnes couldn't finish the play. Sture Mikaelsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stein Engh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bjarne Lindstrøm didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vidar Eek went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the match, Storsæter BK's goal looked a bit too open when Vidar Eek came free, but Bjarne Lindstrøm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vidar Eek got free with Bjarne Lindstrøm in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute Vidar Eek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjarne Lindstrøm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Eirik Alnes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Storsæter BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Værøy IL the free kick. After 47 played minutes Storsæter BK got a freekick which was hit by Eirik Alnes. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Værøy IL's Sture Mikaelsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Værøy IL from getting a goal against them. Carl Ulset kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Sture Mikaelsen came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Storsæter BK's Eirik Alnes. But to his dismay, Eirik Alnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. When Kenneth Nærland fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Værøy IL's protests and gave Kenneth Nærland a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Værøy IL got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Nærland. 67 minutes into the match, Værøy IL's goal looked a bit too open when Steinar Bergset came free, but Sture Mikaelsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bjarne Lindstrøm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iver Larsen in the 72nd minute of the match. Steinar Bergset blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sture Mikaelsen having to make a save. If Iver Larsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Storsæter BK's Steinar Bergset got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ask Nesbø kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Kai Thorgersen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sture Mikaelsen. Værøy IL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 2-5 became the score in the 91st minute when Steinar Bergset elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Theodor Langaas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Værøy IL supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Storsæter BK's performance. The match ended with a win for Storsæter BK.
