Stein Engh took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pål Idsø. Pål Idsø dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Steinar Bergset's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pål Idsø was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Steinar Bergset scored 0-3 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pål Idsø, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pål Idsø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eirik Alnes in the 24th minute of the match. If Eirik Alnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pål Idsø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eirik Alnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Steinar Bergset made a precise shot to the right of Pål Idsø. Raagrend FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 38 minutes into the match, Eirik Alnes notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Raagrend FK's Pål Idsø. Pål Idsø was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stein Engh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pål Idsø having to interfere. Raagrend FK's Pål Idsø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eirik Alnes in the 42nd minute of play. Pål Idsø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steinar Bergset, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steinar Bergset in the 47th minute of play forced Raagrend FK's goalkeeper Pål Idsø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steinar Bentzen made a kick off. Steinar Bergset received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Pål Idsø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Storsæter BK's Eirik Ranheim got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Raagrend FK's Pål Idsø got control of the ball when Eirik Alnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute, Petter Oksnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Raagrend FK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Josef Landsem hit a great ball. Ole-Einar Torheim charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ole-Einar Torheim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, Raagrend FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ole-Einar Torheim to maneuver through the defense. Kai Thorgersen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pål Idsø. Raagrend FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Bent Høiberg came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Storsæter BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bent Høiberg couldn't finish the play. Pål Idsø made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eirik Alnes in the 63rd minute. Pål Idsø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steinar Bergset in the 64th minute of play. Pål Idsø came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Storsæter BK's Eirik Alnes. But to his dismay, Eirik Alnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 68th minute, Stein Engh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes Raagrend FK got a freekick which was hit by Josef Landsem. 75 minutes into the match, Steinar Bergset dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pål Idsø, 0-7. Erik Husa's late challenge caught a Storsæter BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Husa helped the player get up and apologised. 81 minutes into the match, Raagrend FK's goal looked a bit too open when Steinar Bergset came free, but Pål Idsø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Raagrend FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Storsæter BK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
