When Nils Høgseth fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sandnes FC's protests and gave Nils Høgseth a yellow card for diving instead. Nils Høgseth kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Kenneth Nærland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Christian Oskarsen made a huge save. Sture Mikaelsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Høgseth in the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Værøy IL getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Lennart Østensen hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sandnes FC's Yngve Kaupang got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute, Ask Nesbø reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christian Oskarsen. The goal made the score 3-0.
