Øivind Storebø made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Bakken in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Molnes in the 13th minute of play forced Trosvik IF's goalkeeper Tore Salamonsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Hartmann in the 15th minute of play forced Frengen's goalkeeper Øivind Storebø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Oscar Bakken ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Øivind Storebø was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Sæbø got free with Øivind Storebø in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 31 minutes, Torgeir Vangsnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frengen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torgeir Vangsnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Christian Molnes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tore Salamonsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Øivind Storebø made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Oscar Bakken sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute Christian Molnes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tore Salamonsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Molnes in the 41st minute of play forced Trosvik IF's goalkeeper Tore Salamonsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Morten Gunnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Kim Hartmann made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Christian Molnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frengen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Molnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th match minute, Trosvik IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim Hartmann to maneuver through the defense. Tore Salamonsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Molnes in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Trosvik IF's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Molnes came free, but Tore Salamonsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Molnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Tore Salamonsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Morten Gunnes struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Tore Salamonsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frengen. Peter Shilton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Øivind Storebø. Frengen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tore Salamonsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Molnes's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Molnes in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tore Salamonsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Frengen's Harald Nesje got a free kick in the 87th minute. The supporters of Trosvik IF booed when Frengen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tore Skjæveland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of Frengen's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Frengen may have spent more time on the ball, but Trosvik IF were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
