The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Fiasco da Gama's goalkeeper Stefan Åsebø had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christer Heiberg. A collision led to Midtun Fc getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Torstein Hovind hit a great ball. Roy Jama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Tjelle in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Christer Heiberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stefan Åsebø, 1-0. If Ole-Petter Fauske had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christer Heiberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stefan Åsebø firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Fiasco da Gama's Dag Frøshaug got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute, Trond Egeland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roy Jama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Bech in the 19th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Midtun Fc got a freekick which was hit by Torstein Hovind. Midtun Fc's Iver Bugten quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tore Gudmundsen, made in the 30th minute of the game. In the 37th match minute, Fiasco da Gama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Robertsen to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Arthur Tjelle notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Midtun Fc's Roy Jama. Roy Jama was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 48 minutes into the game, Fiasco da Gama's Johannes Bech nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roy Jama made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Fiasco da Gama made a substitution. Kjell Rekstad replaced Johannes Bech. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arthur Tjelle to make the kick off. Midtun Fc's Roy Jama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Midtun Fc from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the game, Cornelius Eidem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fiasco da Gama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Midtun Fc the free kick. A collision led to Fiasco da Gama getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Cornelius Eidem hit a great ball. Tim Robertsen kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Midtun Fc's Christer Heiberg in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fiasco da Gama's goalie prevented a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Midtun Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell Rekstad came free, but Roy Jama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Christer Heiberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Midtun Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Heiberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ole-Petter Fauske had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Midtun Fc getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Trond Egeland hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes Fiasco da Gama got a freekick which was hit by Idar Tømmervik. The crowd rose to their feet as Fiasco da Gama's Arthur Tjelle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roy Jama. That made the score 1-4 after 88 minutes of play. Christer Heiberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Åsebø having to interfere. In the 100th minute, Dag Frøshaug hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Although Midtun Fc had been in control for most of the match, Fiasco da Gama still came away with the win.
