After having played for 5 minutes, Vebjørn Bjørnstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maria Mena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vebjørn Bjørnstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, FC Verdiløse Menn's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Romualdo Gibert fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Maria Mena booed when FC Verdiløse Menn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Hvidsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Raa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romualdo Gibert in the 16th minute. In the 19th match minute, Maria Mena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Johan Eidet to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Maria Mena got a freekick which was hit by Are Sviland. In the 28th minute, Maria Mena's Vebjørn Bjørnstad dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With his leg John Raa managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Maria Mena's Romualdo Gibert fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Romualdo Gibert took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Raa. John Raa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. David Fiskerstrand kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. FC Verdiløse Menn's John Raa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vebjørn Bjørnstad in the 69th minute of play. If Romualdo Gibert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vebjørn Bjørnstad in the 77th minute of play forced FC Verdiløse Menn's goalkeeper John Raa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes of play, Maria Mena's Romualdo Gibert made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. John Raa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the match, FC Verdiløse Menn's goal looked a bit too open when Vebjørn Bjørnstad came free, but John Raa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Raa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcu Hrebenciuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Raa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romualdo Gibert went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Vebjørn Bjørnstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. John Raa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Hrebenciuc in the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Maria Mena booed when FC Verdiløse Menn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krister Voll didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Romualdo Gibert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maria Mena's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
