Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nils-Christian Valde started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Simen Brekken fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eric Hilstad, passed just outside the right post. Eric Hilstad was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adrian Strande showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 7 minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, FC Lechia Stavanger's goal looked a bit too open when Simen Brekken came free, but Eric Hilstad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute of the match Bjarne Throndsen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julius Nystrøm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gabriel Ensrud hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Adrian Strande reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eric Hilstad. The goal made the score 2-1. The audience was convinced that Nils-Christian Valde's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julius Nystrøm was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Eric Hilstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simen Brekken in the 18th minute of play. If Nils-Christian Valde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. With a left leg Julius Nystrøm saved Halsne FF from getting behind. Morten Klaussen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Nystrøm having to interfere. Julius Nystrøm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Christian Valde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Strande got free with Eric Hilstad in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute, Daniel Thorsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Nils-Christian Valde managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lechia Stavanger's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils-Christian Valde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julius Nystrøm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, FC Lechia Stavanger's goal looked a bit too open when Simen Brekken came free, but Eric Hilstad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karsten Bergland charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karsten Bergland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Lechia Stavanger booed when Halsne FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karsten Bergland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julius Nystrøm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Christian Valde in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Simen Brekken made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karsten Bergland in the 54th minute of play forced FC Lechia Stavanger's goalkeeper Eric Hilstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simen Brekken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Hilstad having to interfere. After 69 played minutes Nils-Christian Valde rounded Halsne FF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-5. Simen Brekken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morten Klaussen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Julius Nystrøm made a huge save. Julius Nystrøm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Christian Valde, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Nils-Christian Valde notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Halsne FF's Julius Nystrøm. Julius Nystrøm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the match, Alexander Brække had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julius Nystrøm. Halsne FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander Brække was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-7. When the match was over FC Lechia Stavanger could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Halsne FF throughout the match.
