Spectators: 7860 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 160) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Finn-Christian Gjelsvik took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Willassen in the 5th minute of play forced Vardaberg BK's goalkeeper Eskil Hoel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eskil Hoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Willassen in the 6th minute of the match. When Adrian Bergsland came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the FK Grunnfjord fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Bergsland couldn't finish the play. When Andreas Aandal fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vardaberg BK's protests and gave Andreas Aandal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Vardaberg BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Aandal to maneuver through the defense. FK Grunnfjord's Patrik Lysaker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save FK Grunnfjord from getting a goal against them. If Victor Mahmood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Victor Mahmood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vardaberg BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Mahmood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrik Lysaker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Adrian Bergsland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eskil Hoel was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After 33 minutes of play Vardaberg BK's Andreas Aandal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 38th minute, Adrian Bergsland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eskil Hoel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Bergsland, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Adrian Bergsland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrian Bergsland in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eskil Hoel saved Vardaberg BK from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredrik Willassen in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eskil Hoel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fredrik Willassen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Eskil Hoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Eskil Hoel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Vardaberg BK getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Kenneth Nordahl hit a great ball. Fredrik Willassen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Hoel having to interfere. The supporters of FK Grunnfjord booed when Vardaberg BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Nordahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 played minutes, FK Grunnfjord's Dennis Brandt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eskil Hoel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FK Grunnfjord reached it. Patrik Lysaker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Mahmood in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Victor Mahmood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Lysaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarl Refsland kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. During the 96th minute of the match Jarle Lyngstad completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jarle Lyngstad a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Vardaberg BK's Jarle Lyngstad got a free kick in the 97th minute. 98 minutes into the game, FK Grunnfjord's Adrian Bergsland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eskil Hoel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. FK Grunnfjord's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
