Rikard Langfeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. A collision led to FK Grunnfjord getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Fredrik Willassen hit a great ball. Patrik Lysaker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roald Nerheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Roald Nerheim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FK Grunnfjord's Jarl Refsland got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ståle Kvarme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Willassen, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Roald Nerheim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrik Lysaker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Roald Nerheim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Lysaker having to interfere. FK Grunnfjord's Patrik Lysaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roald Nerheim in the 24th minute of play. Ståle Kvarme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Bergsland in the 28th minute. Jarl Refsland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Jan Standal made a precise shot to the right of Patrik Lysaker. FK Grunnfjord's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Jan Standal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Østabø's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Standal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrik Lysaker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 minutes, Fabian Ngo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Grunnfjord and the Østabø players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes FK Grunnfjord got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Ngo. In the 43rd minute, Jan Standal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrik Lysaker was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fredrik Willassen to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Jan Standal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Lysaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Lysaker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roald Nerheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Østabø's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan Standal in the 58th minute. Roald Nerheim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Willassen in the 61st minute of play forced Østabø's goalkeeper Ståle Kvarme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roald Nerheim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Standal in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrik Lysaker saved FK Grunnfjord from getting behind. Patrik Lysaker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roald Nerheim went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Patrik Lysaker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Standal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jan Standal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, FK Grunnfjord's goalkeeper Patrik Lysaker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roald Nerheim. Patrik Lysaker made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Peter Myrdal sent off a good shot on target. Roald Nerheim struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Patrik Lysaker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Østabø. Patrik Lysaker was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jan Standal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 94 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Østabø left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FK Grunnfjord.
