Spectators: 8050 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1900, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Glenn Heggdal got the match started through his kick off. Stølsvik FK's Elder Cearense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Stølsvik FK from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Stølsvik FK getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ivar Skullerud hit a great ball. In the 7th minute of the match Gjermund Berre sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elder Cearense skillfully saved the ball. In the 10th match minute, Stølsvik FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halvor Parveen to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trym Thorsrud in the 11th minute of play forced Stølsvik FK's goalkeeper Elder Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trym Thorsrud in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elder Cearense, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Morten Borgersen came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Verdal FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Morten Borgersen couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trym Thorsrud got free with Elder Cearense in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Elder Cearense managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Verdal FK's Trym Thorsrud fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trym Thorsrud got free with Elder Cearense in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 25 minutes, Ivar Skullerud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stølsvik FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivar Skullerud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elder Cearense stood somewhat misplaced when Trym Thorsrud came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 36 minute. After 39 minutes, Ivar Skullerud mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stølsvik FK and the Verdal FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stølsvik FK's Ivar Skullerud got a free kick in the 39th minute. Trym Thorsrud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gjermund Berre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trym Thorsrud might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elder Cearense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trym Thorsrud ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Stølsvik FK getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Halvor Parveen hit a great ball. After 56th play minutes Trym Thorsrud shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Elder Cearense and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 60th minute Trym Thorsrud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Gjermund Berre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Verdal FK's Gjermund Berre has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 62nd minute. Trym Thorsrud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Stein-Roger Ekeberg came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Verdal FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stein-Roger Ekeberg couldn't finish the play. Halvor Parveen kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Stølsvik FK's zone, Trym Thorsrud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Cearense came out of the goal and Trym Thorsrud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trym Thorsrud in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elder Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd match minute, Stølsvik FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stian Løvaas to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Stølsvik FK's goal looked a bit too open when Trym Thorsrud came free, but Elder Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trym Thorsrud in the 81st minute of play. Trym Thorsrud got in the 82nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Elder Cearense handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trym Thorsrud in the 84th minute of play forced Stølsvik FK's goalkeeper Elder Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elder Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trym Thorsrud in the 86th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Trym Thorsrud's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elder Cearense was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Trym Thorsrud left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Verdal FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Verdal FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
