In the 9th minute, Kristoffer Lillehagen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bjørnar Brynildsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hans-Erik Isdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodor Alm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Austerheim's goal looked a bit too open when Kristoffer Lillehagen came free, but Bjørnar Brynildsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. August Salvesen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bjørnar Brynildsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Austerheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inge Østvold to maneuver through the defense. Ku Kost IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikkel Sikveland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristoffer Lillehagen in the 48th minute of play forced Austerheim's goalkeeper Bjørnar Brynildsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristoffer Lillehagen to make the kick off. Bjørnar Brynildsen was a little too slow when Kristoffer Lillehagen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 63rd minute Ku Kost IL were awarded a corner. Tage Liland went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 69 minutes, Theodor Giske managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ku Kost IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theodor Giske was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristoffer Lillehagen in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bjørnar Brynildsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ku Kost IL's Kristoffer Lillehagen got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Austerheim's zone, Kristoffer Lillehagen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bjørnar Brynildsen came out of the goal and Kristoffer Lillehagen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kristoffer Lillehagen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Bjørnar Brynildsen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ku Kost IL were furious when Mikkel Sikveland was red carded, 94 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When Gjermund Green came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Austerheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gjermund Green couldn't finish the play.
