Richard Rognstad charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Rognstad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simen Gullaksen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stian Sødal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Simen Gullaksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bjørnar Brynildsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peder Nerli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stian Sødal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute Inge Østvold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Oftedal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Stian Sødal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andreas Oftedal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Andreas Oftedal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inge Østvold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richard Rognstad got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Richard Rognstad hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theodor Alm during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sommernes FK booed when Austerheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theodor Alm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Stian Sødal notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Sommernes FK's Andreas Oftedal. Andreas Oftedal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stian Sødal was the one to do the kick off. Stian Sødal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Andreas Oftedal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, Sommernes FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simen Gullaksen to maneuver through the defense. Sommernes FK's Simen Gullaksen got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bjørnar Brynildsen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jim Haukland showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 63 minute of play. Simen Gullaksen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bjørnar Brynildsen having to interfere. Martin Løvberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
