In the 10th minute Loreto Turienzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balder Roland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Loreto Turienzo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Balder Roland. Balder Roland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Saksvik's zone, Remus Budulea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Balder Roland came out of the goal and Remus Budulea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Balder Roland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loreto Turienzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Loreto Turienzo struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Balder Roland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Franzstadt Vikings. If Trond Langøy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Balder Roland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remus Budulea in the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Saksvik's zone, Trond Langøy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Balder Roland came out of the goal and Trond Langøy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th match minute, Saksvik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Utsi to maneuver through the defense. Trond Langøy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Børge Moldestad fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saksvik's protests and gave Børge Moldestad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Børge Moldestad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Trond Langøy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Loreto Turienzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Balder Roland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trond Langøy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Trond Langøy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balder Roland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loreto Turienzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balder Roland having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Franzstadt Vikings's Emánuel Medgyesi got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Franzstadt Vikings's Harald Hvidsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Børge Moldestad in the 65th minute of play. Loreto Turienzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Trond Langøy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Balder Roland. Loreto Turienzos short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Balder Roland to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A sloppy throw-in by Daniel Furuheim in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Franzstadt Vikings's Sebastian Bredal. Trond Langøy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Balder Roland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Franzstadt Vikings's Loreto Turienzo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. When Remus Budulea came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Franzstadt Vikings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remus Budulea couldn't finish the play. After having played for 88 minutes, Josef Bøhn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Franzstadt Vikings's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josef Bøhn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tim Ims took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harald Hvidsten. Harald Hvidsten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. In the 95th minute, Franzstadt Vikings's Trond Langøy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Balder Roland. Balder Roland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8.
