The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Svend Havn took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albert Øverbø. A collision led to Gjæsvær BK getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alexander Schrøder hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Håvard Kvalø notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Gjæsvær BK's Albert Øverbø. Albert Øverbø was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albert Øverbø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finn-Christian Schei in the 16th minute of the match. Finn-Christian Schei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Albert Øverbø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Svend Havn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Schrøder got free with Jesper Blomberg in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Sigve Berland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flogo FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Finn-Christian Schei in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Øverbø prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the game, Flogo FF's Sigve Berland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Øverbø made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Albert Øverbø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finn-Christian Schei, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Finn-Christian Schei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gjæsvær BK's Albert Øverbø was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albert Øverbø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svend Havn, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Flogo FF's Sigve Berland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Øverbø made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After the first half Flogo FF were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 50th minute, Kjartan Villanger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Flogo FF defense, Alexander Schrøder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesper Blomberg. The Flogo FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesper Blomberg should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håvard Kvalø in the 61st minute of play forced Gjæsvær BK's goalkeeper Albert Øverbø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Flogo FF booed when Gjæsvær BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjartan Villanger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Håvard Kvalø could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Albert Øverbø made a huge save. 68 minutes into the game, Gjæsvær BK's Reidar Toresen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 93rd match minute, Flogo FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigve Berland to maneuver through the defense. Flogo FF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
