Trond Ege started the match with the kick off. Børge Moldestad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Fredrik Engen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 played minutes Tönsberg Brùgge got a freekick which was hit by Tor-Magnus Stien. In the 12thth minute of the game Trond Ege who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tönsberg Brùgge's Fredrik Engen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ole-Johan Gjøen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Balder Roland came out and tried to block the shot, but Ole-Johan Gjøen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. If Børge Moldestad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tönsberg Brùgge's zone, Børge Moldestad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredrik Engen came out of the goal and Børge Moldestad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Balder Roland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ole-Johan Gjøen's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 42 minutes into the match, Tönsberg Brùgge's goal looked a bit too open when Børge Moldestad came free, but Fredrik Engen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Børge Moldestad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Engen having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ludvig Horn during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Tönsberg Brùgge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludvig Horn to maneuver through the defense. Fredrik Engen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Børge Moldestad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ole-Johan Gjøen was the one to do the kick off. Fredrik Engen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trond Ege in the 53rd minute of the match. Hans-Erik Raastad kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Trond Ege received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fredrik Engen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars Skjerping hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tönsberg Brùgge's zone, Trond Ege stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredrik Engen came out of the goal and Trond Ege tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Tönsberg Brùgge's Fredrik Engen got control of the ball when Børge Moldestad tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fredrik Engen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trond Ege, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Trond Ege shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Engen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Saksvik booed when Tönsberg Brùgge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludvig Horn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Børge Moldestad had several of the Tönsberg Brùgge's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Fredrik Engen as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 91stth minute of the game Børge Moldestad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tönsberg Brùgge's Fredrik Engen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Trond Ege had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trond Ege fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Engen having to interfere. Tönsberg Brùgge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Trond Ege scored to the left of an out of position Fredrik Engen, making the score, 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Saksvik left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tönsberg Brùgge.
