After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Reidar Toresen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gjæsvær BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Reidar Toresen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marius Bruheim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, 71° Up North's Jon-Arne Fjell got a free kick in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, 71° Up North's goal looked a bit too open when Reidar Toresen came free, but Marius Bruheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertel Ådland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Øverbø having to interfere. When 71° Up North's Bertel Ådland in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 25 minutes, Jonas Serigstad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gjæsvær BK and the 71° Up North players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of 71° Up North booed when Gjæsvær BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Serigstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bertel Ådland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Albert Øverbø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Smestad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albert Øverbø having to make a save. 36 minutes into the match, Bertel Ådland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Øverbø. Gjæsvær BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bertel Ådland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Reidar Toresen managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the last second Albert Øverbø throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bertel Ådland in the 47thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reidar Toresen was the one to do the kick off. Bertel Ådland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marius Bruheim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reidar Toresen's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Marius Bruheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reidar Toresen in the 54th minute of play. When Alexander Schrøder came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Gjæsvær BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Schrøder couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute of the match Rikard Foldnes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albert Øverbø skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertel Ådland in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albert Øverbø saved Gjæsvær BK from getting behind. In the 63rd minute of the match, Reidar Toresen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marius Bruheim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of 71° Up North booed when Gjæsvær BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geir Alnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marius Bruheim came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Gjæsvær BK's Reidar Toresen. But to his dismay, Reidar Toresen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gjæsvær BK's Albert Øverbø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Smestad in the 73rd minute of play. The Gjæsvær BK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
