John-Edvin Tangerud didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Børge Moldestad went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 27thth minute of the game Børge Moldestad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shankley-boys's John-Edvin Tangerud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Trond Ege came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Saksvik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trond Ege couldn't finish the play. Balder Roland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anders Dahlberg in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Børge Moldestad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saksvik's supporters rose to their feet, but Børge Moldestad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John-Edvin Tangerud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 played minutes Shankley-boys got a freekick which was hit by Theodor Kjærvik. In the 41st minute, Trond Ege got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Trond Ege to make the kick off. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Daniel Furuheim's late challenge caught a Shankley-boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Furuheim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Saksvik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Furuheim to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 89 minutes, Theodor Kjærvik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shankley-boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theodor Kjærvik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Shankley-boys's Ivar Øvrebø got a free kick in the 91st minute. A collision led to Saksvik getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Børge Moldestad hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trond Ege in the 95th minute of play forced Shankley-boys's goalkeeper John-Edvin Tangerud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Saksvik left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Shankley-boys.
