The supporters of 71° Up North booed when Tönsberg Brùgge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ole-Johan Gjøen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Rikard Foldnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fredrik Engen had great luck who in the 22ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Daniel Smestad from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The 71° Up North fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when 71° Up North's Bertel Ådland looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Tönsberg Brùgge's Fredrik Engen got control of the ball when Kenneth Sandsmark tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertel Ådland in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fredrik Engen saved Tönsberg Brùgge from getting behind. During the 43rd minute of the match Lars Skjerping completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lars Skjerping a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 44 played minutes Tönsberg Brùgge got a freekick which was hit by Lars Skjerping. Fredrik Engen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertel Ådland, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bertel Ådland to strike the kick off in the second half.
