Sven-Erik Molin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 20th minute, Sten Hård got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inge Børresen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Kvello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Valebjørg's Ruben Kvello ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Inge Børresen. Inge Børresen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 37th minute, Mathias Tufte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jimmy Tufte took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Erik Molin. Sven-Erik Molin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

After 57 minutes, Christoffer Justad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valebjørg and the Deknepollen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute of the match, Jimmy Tufte tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sven-Erik Molin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 98th match minute, Deknepollen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Tufte to maneuver through the defense. The Valebjørg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deknepollen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
