A collision led to Brufoss IL getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Kai Østbye hit a great ball. Mathias Tufte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Borys Witek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inge Børresen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Østbye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 0-1 became the score in the 12th minute when Kent Remme elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Inge Børresen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Markham, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Inge Børresen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai Østbye in the 16th minute of play. Inge Børresen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Østbye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inge Børresen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kai Østbye in the 20th minute of the match. Deknepollen's Dan Aasberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Christer Ribe in the 22 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Deknepollen's zone, Kent Remme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inge Børresen came out of the goal and Kent Remme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inge Børresen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kai Østbye in the 25th minute of the match. Inge Børresen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Saltnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 36th minute, Pius Decorvet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 37 minutes, Kai Østbye managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brufoss IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kai Østbye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Emanuel Markham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brufoss IL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 43rd minute, Kai Østbye ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inge Børresen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Inge Børresen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Østbye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Markham was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Emanuel Markham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Inge Børresen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 54th minute, Kai Østbye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inge Børresen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Saltnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Kai Østbye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Børresen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deknepollen's Inge Børresen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Deknepollen from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, Deknepollen's goalkeeper Inge Børresen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Markham. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Remme in the 67th minute of play forced Deknepollen's goalkeeper Inge Børresen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deknepollen's Inge Børresen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Remme in the 69th minute of play. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Frode Tobiassen replaced Kai Østbye. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Deknepollen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pius Decorvet didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Deknepollen's Inge Børresen got control of the ball when Rune Saltnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Kent Remme recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Inge Børresen. Kent Remme showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. In the 80th minute Frode Tobiassen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Børresen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Emanuel Markham had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Inge Børresen. Deknepollen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Markham was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. 89 minutes into the game, Kent Remme lined in a short shot 0-9 behind a frustrated Inge Børresen. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Frode Tobiassen took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Inge Børresen to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Deknepollen defense, Kent Remme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inge Børresen. The Deknepollen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inge Børresen should have stopped the shot. Brufoss IL's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
