In the 52nd minute, Åsnes's John-Einar Bøen seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed John-Einar Bøen the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Åsnes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and John-Einar Bøen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 53rd minute, John-Einar Bøen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Øivind Vu in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sturle Åsland saved Åsnes from getting behind. 95 minutes into the game, Adam Sandbakken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Sturle Åsland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Laniakea's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
