Bjørnar Kaasa had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Jim-André Kirkevold's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jim-André Kirkevold scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bjørnar Kaasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the game, Jim-André Kirkevold threw the ball into play from the sideline. Guttane's Cornelius Nilssen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Odd Sørdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. Espen Normann might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Drange. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Espen Normann ran back to his position shaking his head. Bjørnar Kaasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eilert Totland in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christer Fiskvik to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Eilert Totland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjørnar Kaasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 53 in the game by Sigve Ramberg from a close distance when the talented Bjørnar Kaasa managed to make a qualified save. Guttane's players were relieved. Rock Hard FC's Frank Haavik got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guttane's Bjørnar Kaasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eilert Totland in the 88th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Johannes Bryn made a precise shot to the right of Bjørnar Kaasa. Guttane's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Rock Hard FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
