Spectators: 9162 (Terracing: 6873, Seating: 2107, VIP seats: 182) Bjørnar Kaasa came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Åsnes's Kim Alnes. But to his dismay, Kim Alnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sturle Åsland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Fiskvik in the 8th minute of play. Guttane were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Åsnes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastian Ranheim took the corner. The audience was convinced that Kim Alnes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bjørnar Kaasa was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the game, Poyraz Erçetin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Guttane's Kim-André Sømme quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 18thth minute of the game Kim Alnes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guttane's Bjørnar Kaasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Guttane booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. John-Einar Bøen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kim Alnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bjørnar Kaasa having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, Guttane's Odd Sørdal made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sturle Åsland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bjørnar Kaasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Alnes in the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. John-Einar Bøen hit a great ball. With a little luck, Åsnes's Sturle Åsland got control of the ball when Sebastian Ranheim tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Guttane's Roar Wold ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sturle Åsland. Sturle Åsland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kim Alnes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kim Alness short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Bjørnar Kaasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bjørnar Kaasa made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Roman Bide sent off a good shot on target. After 60 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by John-Einar Bøen. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's John-Einar Bøen got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 72 minutes into the match, Cornelius Nilssen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sturle Åsland. Åsnes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelius Nilssen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 75th match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon-Inge Nysæter to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Ranheim came free in the 77th minute and tried to tip the ball over Sturle Åsland, but to the joy of Åsnes's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. John-Einar Bøen hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Haroldo Gaitan hit a great ball. The supporters of Guttane booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Vartdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christer Fiskvik scored 4-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sturle Åsland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kim Alnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Bjørnar Kaasa made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the Guttane players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
