In the 13th match minute, Laniakea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Idar Kvale to maneuver through the defense. Rubinho Novaess short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Ali Adjani to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Laniakea's Idar Kvale got a free kick in the 21st minute. The supporters of Laniakea booed when mixednutz XI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frode Koch didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in mixednutz XI's zone, Hans-Erik Osland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Thorsrud came out of the goal and Hans-Erik Osland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to mixednutz XI getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Mikael Lundblad hit a great ball. mixednutz XI's Mathias Thorsrud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Sandbakken in the 33rd minute of play. Jo Skinstad's late challenge caught a mixednutz XI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jo Skinstad helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Laniakea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jo Skinstad to maneuver through the defense. Ali Adjani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torgeir Lundhaug in the 38th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubinho Novaes in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Adjani saved Laniakea from getting behind. 59 minutes into the game, one of Laniakea:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave mixednutz XI a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Torgeir Lundhaug, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Laniakea's Ali Adjani. 1-1. Hans-Petter Phan charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans-Petter Phan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Laniakea booed when mixednutz XI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans-Petter Phan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Rubinho Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. mixednutz XI's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Adjani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Laniakea would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
