In the 13thth minute of the game Feliberto Panfilo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mambu Mumba FC's Preben Ensrud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Feliberto Panfilo sped through Mambu Mumba FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Preben Ensrud. 24 minutes into the game, Sturle Brønstad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Breakdown Squad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mambu Mumba FC the free kick. In the 25th match minute, Breakdown Squad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sturle Brønstad to maneuver through the defense. Ole-Johan Skåra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marius Ekeberg in the 26th minute of play. Geir Jespersen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40thth minute of the game Feliberto Panfilo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mambu Mumba FC's Preben Ensrud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Kanestrøm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Preben Ensrud having to interfere. Geir Jespersen took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Preben Ensrud. Preben Ensrud dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Mambu Mumba FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Breakdown Squad were winning 1-3.

If Geir Jespersen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 52nd match minute, Breakdown Squad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sturle Brønstad to maneuver through the defense. After 53 played minutes, Mambu Mumba FC's Jim Westerlund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ole-Johan Skåra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mambu Mumba FC reached it. Preben Ensrud made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Feliberto Panfilo sent off a good shot on target. Jim Westerlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Preben Ensrud successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rune Dahlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Jan Weller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jim Westerlund in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ole-Johan Skåra saved Breakdown Squad from getting behind. Kjell Bore kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Breakdown Squad's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Ekeberg came free, but Ole-Johan Skåra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Geir Jespersen took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Preben Ensrud to make any attempt to save it. Ole-Johan Skåra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Weller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Preben Ensrud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliberto Panfilo in the 82nd minute. Jim Westerlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Jim Westerlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole-Johan Skåra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jim Westerlund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ole-Johan Skåra was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Preben Ensrud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Panfilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 92 played minutes Mambu Mumba FC got a freekick which was hit by Nikolai Grue. Breakdown Squad's Torbjørn Volle was substituted for Feliberto Panfilo. In the 93rd minute, Nikolai Grue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute of the match, Torbjørn Volle tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Preben Ensrud saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Breakdown Squad players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
