Spectators: 9198 (Terracing: 6900, Seating: 2115, VIP seats: 183) Roald Djupvik's late challenge caught a Ranheim IL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roald Djupvik helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, AEK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roald Djupvik to maneuver through the defense. Finn Eidsvåg came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Ranheim IL's Krister Rikstad. But to his dismay, Krister Rikstad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. AEK FC's Radowit Hetman got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Endre Bjørheim in the 17th minute of play forced Ranheim IL's goalkeeper Ronny Oppedal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronny Oppedal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radowit Hetman in the 20th minute of the match. Ronny Oppedal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Endre Bjørheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Endre Bjørheim in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ronny Oppedal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Endre Bjørheim hit a great ball. Ronny Oppedal was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Endre Bjørheim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Endre Bjørheim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 34th match minute, AEK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roald Djupvik to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Espen Heltne hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Krister Rikstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finn Eidsvåg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Runar Nordtømme got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Finn Eidsvåg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ronny Oppedal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radowit Hetman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hauk Hella made a kick off. Finn Eidsvåg was a little too slow when Asmund Normann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-3. Roald Djupvik got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, AEK FC's Roald Djupvik got a free kick in the 61st minute. Hauk Hella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Finn Eidsvåg made a huge save. Ronny Oppedal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Israel Petri's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hauk Hella got free with Finn Eidsvåg in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Endre Bjørheim hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Hauk Hellas short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Finn Eidsvåg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Finn Eidsvåg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hauk Hella's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Finn Eidsvåg was a little too slow when Asmund Normann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 1-4. 83 minutes into the match, Asmund Normann notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg. Finn Eidsvåg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Severin Indahl hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ranheim IL's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
