An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Cantona in the 3rd minute of play forced Skytta Toppidrettslag's goalkeeper Ren Bur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Skytta Toppidrettslag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oddvar Nordhus to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ren Bur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Raphael Ceresso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skytta Toppidrettslag's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saga TF the free kick. Ren Bur came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Saga TF's Trond Gilde. But to his dismay, Trond Gilde quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Saga TF's Jo Gvardiol got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Gürol Atasan spun around in front of the goal 45 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Saga TF's goal. If Erik Cantona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gürol Atasan was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Erik Cantona in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Skytta Toppidrettslag's Steffen Schlenz. 52 minutes into the match, Skytta Toppidrettslag's Gürol Atasan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joachim Forseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gürol Atasan kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Saga TF's Joachim Forseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürol Atasan in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Skytta Toppidrettslag's goalkeeper Ren Bur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arne Botnen. 64 minutes into the match, Skytta Toppidrettslag's Gürol Atasan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joachim Forseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gürol Atasan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saga TF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Trond Gilde in the 68th minute. Truls Edvartsen kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Trond Gilde took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ren Bur. Skytta Toppidrettslag's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Saga TF's Joachim Forseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Are Haaland in the 71st minute of play. Trond Gilde came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ren Bur could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Cantona in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ren Bur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürol Atasan in the 78th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Gürol Atasan put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joachim Forseth. Kim Sneve hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Skytta Toppidrettslag's Gürol Atasan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joachim Forseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joachim Forseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürol Atasan, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Saga TF's goal looked a bit too open when Gürol Atasan came free, but Joachim Forseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Truls Edvartsen in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Saga TF's Leszek Milko. Joachim Forseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürol Atasan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
