Kjønstad BF's Pedro Luís Peixoto managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Brian Laudrup in the 22 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Botnen in the 24th minute of play forced Kjønstad BF's goalkeeper Jarle Volden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarle Volden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Botnen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Saga TF's goalkeeper Joachim Forseth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josef Vrobel. Joachim Forseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thor Gaarder, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Saga TF's goalkeeper Joachim Forseth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toma Lechev. The wind increased when Erik Cantona made the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd match minute, Kjønstad BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Odon to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Saga TF's Erik Cantona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarle Volden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kjønstad BF's Nils-Arne Solevåg was substituted for Thor Gaarder. Kjønstad BF made a substitution. Jørund Leira replaced Ulises Otsoko. 79 minutes into the game, Trond Gilde threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kjønstad BF's Pedro Luís Peixoto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Reidar Nordhaug scored 2-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joachim Forseth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
