Spectators: 6583 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sjoerd Gerseke started the match with the kick off. When Sjoerd Gerseke in the 3rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Henry Janssen kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After a rather tough play, Schalkhaap S.V.'s Jelle Ginneken got a free kick in the 7th minute. Henry Janssen made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Sjoerd Gerseke sent off a good shot on target. After 10 played minutes Ruisseveen got a freekick which was hit by Hette Arnolds. In the 11th minute, Jelle Ginneken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Schalkhaap S.V. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Steve Pluijm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelle Ginneken in the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Schalkhaap S.V.'s zone, Maurus Claevers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Janssen came out of the goal and Maurus Claevers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ruisseveen's Thijs Waidijk in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schalkhaap S.V.'s goalie prevented a goal. Ruisseveen's Sjoerd Gerseke got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henry Janssen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thijs Waidijk in the 21st minute of play. Sjoerd Gerseke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Henry Janssen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Pluijm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jelle Ginneken, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Maurus Claevers came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ruisseveen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurus Claevers couldn't finish the play. Maurus Claevers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Henry Janssen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Thijs Waidijk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Janssen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thijs Waidijk scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Janssen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronald de Haan to make the kick off. Jelle Ginneken's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Steve Pluijm firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jelle Ginneken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Steve Pluijm made a huge save. Kristof Lodewijks kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Thijs Waidijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Janssen having to interfere. If Maurus Claevers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sjoerd Gerseke in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henry Janssen saved Schalkhaap S.V. from getting behind. Vincent Roelofsen hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Schalkhaap S.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Thijs Waidijk came free, but Henry Janssen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Kristof Lodewijks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schalkhaap S.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruisseveen the free kick. In the 78th match minute, Schalkhaap S.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristof Lodewijks to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ruisseveen's Harm Verweijen got a free kick in the 78th minute. Maurus Claevers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Schalkhaap S.V.'s Henry Janssen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thijs Waidijk in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Ruisseveen booed when Schalkhaap S.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogier Kuipers didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Maurus Claevers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89th match minute, Schalkhaap S.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogier Kuipers to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Ronald de Haan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Pluijm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Schalkhaap S.V.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pieter-Jan Blaauwgeers in the 93rd minute. After taking down the ball on Schalkhaap S.V.'s corner Pieter-Jan Blaauwgeers fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Steve Pluijm quite easily take care of the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Jelle Ginneken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Steve Pluijm was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ruisseveen were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
