Bisselt S.V.'s Arie van Zalen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Kok in the 4th minute of play. Arie van Zalen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoon Kroeze in the 6th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Daan Melis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Coenraad Rodenboog was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Edward Kok charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edward Kok the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, IJlst's Edward Kok got a free kick in the 13th minute. The audience was convinced that Ralph Planting's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arie van Zalen was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Frank Zalm's late challenge caught a IJlst's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Zalm helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of IJlst booed when Bisselt S.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Zalm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Antoon Kroeze cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arie van Zalen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arie van Zalen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Planting, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When %teams%'s Daan Melis was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 26 minutes into the game. Coenraad Rodenboog was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. In the 30th minute Ralph Planting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arie van Zalen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Coenraad Rodenboog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daan Melis in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to IJlst getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Harry van der Schans hit a great ball. Frank Zalm struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Coenraad Rodenboog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bisselt S.V.. If Frank Zalm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudi van Dartel charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudi van Dartel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rudi van Dartel hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 44th match minute, IJlst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Sluis to maneuver through the defense. Arie van Zalen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoon Kroeze in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Ralph Planting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arie van Zalen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ralph Planting to strike the kick off in the second half. Harry van der Schans charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harry van der Schans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, Harry van der Schans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daan Melis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Kok got free with Arie van Zalen in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arie van Zalen came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by IJlst's Antoon Kroeze. But to his dismay, Antoon Kroeze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Antoon Kroeze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Arie van Zalen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Edward Kok reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arie van Zalen. The goal made the score 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Antoon Kroeze managed to get in a good position for a shot. IJlst's supporters rose to their feet, but Antoon Kroeze was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arie van Zalen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Coenraad Rodenboog stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daan Melis's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 86th match minute, Bisselt S.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daan Melis to maneuver through the defense. Bisselt S.V.'s Arie van Zalen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry van der Schans in the 95th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in IJlst's zone, Frank Zalm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Coenraad Rodenboog came out of the goal and Frank Zalm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Bisselt S.V. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching IJlst's performance. The match ended with a win for IJlst.
