After a defensive mix-up in Wagenberg SV's zone, Roy Schrage stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens Onrust came out of the goal and Roy Schrage tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Patrick Cornelisse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. obdam fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Cornelisse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Wagenberg SV's Jens Onrust got control of the ball when Roy Schrage tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laurens Veen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Klaas Jan Ottens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Schreuder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Klaas Jan Ottens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Schreuder in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Schreuder in the 44th minute of play forced obdam fc's goalkeeper Klaas Jan Ottens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leon Schreuder to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, obdam fc's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Schreuder came free, but Klaas Jan Ottens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roy Schrage sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurens Veen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaas Jan Ottens having to interfere. Klaas Jan Ottens came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Wagenberg SV's Laurens Veen. But to his dismay, Laurens Veen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Laurens Veen scored 0-3 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Klaas Jan Ottens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laurens Veen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Klaas Jan Ottens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wagenberg SV's goalkeeper Jens Onrust, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The obdam fc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wagenberg SV's performance. The match ended with a win for Wagenberg SV.
