The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Wissinkhoek's Eelco Baars made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucien Bogarde was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tjeerd Bos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After some careless play in the Bubus FC defense, Eelco Baars kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucien Bogarde. The Bubus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucien Bogarde should have stopped the shot. Karsten Arts made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Evert Hofland sent off a good shot on target. Lucien Bogarde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eelco Baars in the 18th minute of the match. Lucien Bogarde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Witters in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward de Bruin during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wissinkhoek's Edward de Bruin got a free kick in the 21st minute. Eelco Baars received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Lucien Bogarde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leendert Hadders fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bubus FC's protests and gave Leendert Hadders a yellow card for diving instead. Robert Witters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucien Bogarde having to interfere. If Eelco Baars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucien Bogarde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Witters's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Robert Witters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucien Bogarde having to interfere. If Evert Hofland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tjeerd Bos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the game, Robert Witters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Lucien Bogarde was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Witters stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eelco Baars could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Lucien Bogarde made a huge save. The supporters of Bubus FC booed when Wissinkhoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward de Bruin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Robert Witters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wissinkhoek's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Witters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucien Bogarde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 minutes, Eelco Baars made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Bubus FC's Lucien Bogarde tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wissinkhoek's Eelco Baars suffered a concussion in the 75th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Marco Duinhoven charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Duinhoven the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 78 minutes, Wissinkhoek's Wessel Stok got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lucien Bogarde. In the 86th minute, Niels-Jan Stühling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wissinkhoek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. After 89 played minutes Wissinkhoek got a freekick which was hit by Dirk-Jan Carels. Robert Witters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Bubus FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wissinkhoek were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
