Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Frank Joppets made the kick off which started today's match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans van der Velden in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddy Brouwers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geerstraat's attack was well implemented in the 7th minute, but when Ronny Busch was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Hans van der Velden struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Eddy Brouwers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geerstraat. 17 minutes into the match, Geerstraat's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Nieuwburg came free, but Emil de Nooijer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Richard Nieuwburg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil de Nooijer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Geerstraat's Hans van der Velden slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eddy Brouwers. That made the score 1-0 after 25 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Frank Joppets's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emil de Nooijer was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Geerstraat's Joop Vennegoor got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Hans van der Velden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddy Brouwers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Busch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Molen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hans van der Velden came free, but Eddy Brouwers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Hans van der Velden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Molen FC's Eddy Brouwers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Ronny Busch notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Molen FC's Eddy Brouwers. Eddy Brouwers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ronny Busch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eddy Brouwers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tom Ekelhoff in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eddy Brouwers saved Molen FC from getting behind. Molen FC's Eddy Brouwers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans van der Velden in the 89th minute of play. If Ronny Busch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Molen FC defense, Hans van der Velden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddy Brouwers. The Molen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eddy Brouwers should have stopped the shot. Geerstraat walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
