Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eddy Hoogland took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Tom Ekelhoff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Elequemedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Victor Elequemedo came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Geerstraat's Ronny Busch. But to his dismay, Ronny Busch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Nederlands Elftal's zone, Hans van der Velden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Elequemedo came out of the goal and Hans van der Velden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Elequemedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joop Vennegoor in the 16th minute. In the 22nd minute, Dries van der Vaart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronny Busch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Victor Elequemedo made a huge save. In the 26th minute Hans van der Velden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Ronny Busch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geerstraat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Busch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Hans van der Velden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Elequemedo was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Ronny Busch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Victor Elequemedo made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Victor Elequemedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans van der Velden in the 58th minute of play. Nederlands Elftal's Victor Elequemedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans van der Velden in the 60th minute of play. Victor Elequemedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans van der Velden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Nederlands Elftal getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Dries van der Vaart hit a great ball. Nederlands Elftal's Eddy Hoogland got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hans van der Velden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Elequemedo came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Geerstraat's Hans van der Velden. But to his dismay, Hans van der Velden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 90th minute, Hans van der Velden made a precise shot to the right of Victor Elequemedo. Nederlands Elftal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Ronny Busch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Geerstraat players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
