Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Molen FC's Frank Joppets started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frank Joppets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Gert Iemberge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chiel Deuring came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the FC Bagatel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiel Deuring couldn't finish the play. Humberto van Heiningen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eddy Brouwers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Molen FC's Eddy Brouwers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto van Heiningen in the 21st minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Molen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chiel Deuring came free, but Eddy Brouwers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Molen FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Arno Willemse hit a great ball. Chiel Deuring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Brouwers having to interfere. If Chiel Deuring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Molen FC's zone, Chiel Deuring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddy Brouwers came out of the goal and Chiel Deuring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Molen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christiaan Ommen came free, but Eddy Brouwers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Jelmer Pals was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Molen FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bagatel the free kick. 41 minutes into the match, FC Bagatel's Ferry Mans broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 44 minutes into the match, FC Bagatel's Humberto van Heiningen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eddy Brouwers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Richard Nieuwburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Iemberge having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chiel Deuring stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FC Bagatel's Gert Oosterveld got a free kick in the 55th minute. Richard Nieuwburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Iemberge having to interfere. Gert Iemberge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Joppets in the 65th minute of play. Gert Iemberge came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Molen FC's Frank Joppets. But to his dismay, Frank Joppets quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After having played for 79 minutes, Humberto van Heiningen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bagatel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto van Heiningen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Humberto van Heiningen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Iemberge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Nieuwburg in the 87th minute of the match. Eddy Brouwers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiel Deuring, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chiel Deuring's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eddy Brouwers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Molen FC were victorious despite being under pressure from FC Bagatel for much of the match.
