In the 9th minute Roberts Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Hulzebos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberts Lewandowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Victor Hulzebos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Groningen's Victor Hulzebos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save FC Groningen from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Randenbroek Rovers's Roberts Lewandowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Hulzebos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans-Cees Zoethout to make the kick off. With a little luck, Randenbroek Rovers's Mark Schipper got control of the ball when Peter Post tried to sneak it across the goal line. Randenbroek Rovers were furious when Mirko de Haan was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Mirko de Haan kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Randenbroek Rovers's Mark Schipper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans-Cees Zoethout in the 62nd minute of play. If Frans Gerrits had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Hulzebos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberts Lewandowski in the 77th minute of the match.
