Thanks to some nice moves Ernst Siepel could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Martien Jochemsen however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernst Siepel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martien Jochemsen. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Jack Zwartkruis kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Jelmer Zenden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Schenkhuizen having to interfere. Asrın United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Koos Blikman scored to the left of an out of position Martien Jochemsen, making the score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Folkert van der Werff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Asrın United's Gert Sibon got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 80 played minutes Asrın United got a freekick which was hit by Luc van den Akker. Martien Jochemsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koos Blikman, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Asrın United defense, Koos Blikman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martien Jochemsen. The Asrın United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martien Jochemsen should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute, Jelmer Zenden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 95 minutes, Koos Blikman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Snijdersberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Koos Blikman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asrın United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
