PSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klaas Aelbrecht took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donny Zomer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Folkert van der Werff managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asrın United's supporters rose to their feet, but Folkert van der Werff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaas Aelbrecht breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Klaas Aelbrecht didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gert Sibon went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to PSV getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dimitrie Valk hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Donny Zomer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Asrın United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The PSV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half.
