Spectators: 7280 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gerard van Herwijnen got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Roosendaal's Hugo Derks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theo Bernard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Theo Bernard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Derks in the 12th minute. Theo Bernard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard van Herwijnen in the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Hugo Derks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Derks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Theo Bernard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Jacques Pals got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theo Bernard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gerard van Herwijnen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. Gerard van Herwijnen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Theo Bernard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emile Eulen came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Bulgarijasport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emile Eulen couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Theo Bernard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Derks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Bulgarijasport defense, Hugo Derks kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theo Bernard. The Bulgarijasport fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theo Bernard should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Bulgarijasport booed when Roosendaal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Govert Blikman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Klaas Jan Egberts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theo Bernard was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After having played for 73 minutes, Hugo Derks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roosendaal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Derks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerard van Herwijnen took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Theo Bernard. Theo Bernard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. The supporters of Bulgarijasport booed when Roosendaal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaas Jan Egberts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacques Pals fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Hedman having to interfere. After 88 minutes, Gerard van Herwijnen made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bulgarijasport's Theo Bernard tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Theo Bernard came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Roosendaal's Hugo Derks. But to his dismay, Hugo Derks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. The supporters of Roosendaal booed when Bulgarijasport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Han Raatjes didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Roosendaal had played much better football throughout.
